The last week of term saw a group of TY students organise Positive Mental Health Week in collaboration with In. Ní Leannáin. As part of the events the TY students made sandwiches in Home Ec with Ms. Campbell, which were gratefully received by Dundalk Simon Community. Students had a chance to relax during their lunch breaks with mindful colouring and wordsearches and to do Random Acts of Kindness with their secret friend.
On the Tuesday, we also celebrated Safer Internet Day and a group of TY students, under the leadership of their Safer Internet Day Ambassador Leo Meenan, organised an information fair for first years on safer ways to use the internet and to be mindful of our Data Footprint.
Our Junior Cycle students also created positive hands and anti-bullying posters, which we hope to display in the school soon. The week was finished with an Open-Mic session of music in the canteen at lunch. Our thanks to all the students who participated and Ms. Ludden and In. Ní Channan for organising.
